Luis Suarez returns home to a hero's welcome after being booted out of the World Cup

Luiz Suarez returned to his native home of Uruguay yesterday June 27th to a hero's welcome after being booted out of the World Cup and banned from all football for four- months for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini. Not only were hundreds of fans at Montevideo airport to welcome him, waving banners of support, but the president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, was also at the airport. Uruguay's top striker, Luis Suarez has finally spoken on his alleged biting of Giorgio Chiellini in the match between Italy and Uruguay at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Between 20 And 50 Boko Haram Suspects Nabbed In Enugu

Between 20 and 50 suspected Boko Haram members were apprehended at Obollo Afor, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, on June 25, 2014, Wednesday. A group of suspected terrorists were travelling in a commercial luxury bus of a popular private commercial company, when it was stopped by security operatives. According to Punch, a team of the National Task Force on Small Arms was responsible for stopping the bus, plate number AKD816XG. The arrest of 20 suspects was confirmed by its reporter. At the same time, reports by DailyTrust state that 50 suspected terrorists were in the bus. Fashola: Fayose’s Victory Frightening To Democracy In Nigeria

Five days after Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Ayodele Fayose won the governorship election in Ekiti State, western Nigeria, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has described Fayose's victory as frightening to democracy in Nigeria. Abuja Explosion: Suspected Bomber Killed By Soldiers, Another Arrested

The Coordinator, National Information Centre, Mr Mike Omeri, disclosed yesterday that one of the suspected bombers of Emab Plaza on Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse 2 in Abuja was killed by soldiers killed and arrested another. A bomb blast has occurred at popular shopping mall, Emab Plaza on Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse 2 in Abuja. Eyewitnesses said that the explosion occurred at about 4pm and that the fire service officials reportedly put out the fire at about 4:40 pm. The police have confirmed 21 dead, 17 others injured and 17 cars burnt in the explosion. The explosion apparently occurred at the gate of the busy plaza. According to Premium Times Emergency officials are still evacuating the injured and bodies to Maitama District Hospital and are requesting for more ambulances at Maitama District hospital "to transfer victims to other hospitals." As a result of the number of casualties it has been reported that some victims are receiving treatment outside the hospital premises. Meanwhile the medical Director at the Maitama General Hospital confirmed 12 dead and 35 injured with at least 30 bodies with three completely dismembered, several others injured and many cars burnt in the bomb blast.
