OPEN LETTER TO WIZKID

I came across this open letter to Wizkid from a certain fan and decided to share. I’m not going to judge, just read for yourself and tell me what you think! OPEN LETTER TO WIZKID Wizkid vividly I recalled back in 2011 dropping smash album”superstar”, with charts topping hits from holla at your boy to tease me, from don’t dull to pakurumo and more, you took the industry by storm, young, energetic and vibrant with unforgotten hits ,captivating voice and immense talent, grabbing awards and gracing expensive shows both home and abroad, no doubt a game changer, a perfect game changer ! Every young kid want to be Wizkid . Here came 2012,year of EME-cee, you took the shine of the crew, laced graceful and lovely hooks on 80% of the album songs, you so fly,hot and invisible. More shows and awards never stop rolling in. Starboy himself never seems unstoppable. And 2013, you seems superfly, you were at your very best,in between controversy and misunderstanding with your then manager (Osagie) and record label,EME Ent,u popped out singles- hits singles! Upto 20 singles ( a whole album) back to back rocking airways, topping charts in just 1yr, 1 year I repeat,smiles..bro here is a piece of advice putting out a lot of songs out in just 1 year is simply going to sell you short you still have a long way to go and no body does that in the world not even music icon Tupac, Jay Z and our very own Tuface idibia. Your style is monotonous- same style, same theme of songs all I heard is baby-baby-baby, huh! People are getting bored of hearing same thing every blessed day ,baby songs will never make you a legend, it will never take you anywhere, fine it will put couple of millions in your account, buy you designer clothes and gold chains and some expensive fancy cars but for how long will that be before the brand Wizkid vanished? Bob Marley,Tupac and Fela Anikulapo kuti became legends basically because of the unrivaled contents of their lyrics about life, reality, freedom and brutality of mankind, they did it for a long time and they did it perfectly. Wizkid, listen and listen carefully, you need to start buying songs like a real professional, you need to go back to your winning team(Osagie and Banky W), let them be in control of your career just like when you guys started back in 2010.Remember these people are well read and older thus they possessed lots of exposure and experience you might never get in the next 10yrs. You need to understand you are a big brand who has a name/image to protect, you need to step up your game, surround yourself with highly educated entertainment professionals not your so called semi-illiterate team. You need to understand the fact that the music industry is highly competitive, growing very fast with new artists springing up every blessed day. They are mean, hungary for fame and fortune and committed and simply want to dethrone you and the rest of reigning established artists. Take time to pen good and meaningful songs, get professional song writers and slap it with classy expensive videos not all those 2-seconds-one-spot videos you are giving us,they are not helping your brand. “Holla at your boy” and “pakurumo ” videos became big hits and highly successful just because their story lines were carefully written- perfect scripts, good directing with high budgets which I believe is the handwork of the master planner himself,Mr. Banky W.”The matter” was a very good song-great delivery, great breath control, lovely rhythm and killer beat but the beautiful song was killed by a cheap and conceptless video.Davido will spend his last penny to get good and well written songs and slap it with classy and High budgeted videos. He wasn’t a freak to have shot 3 videos for his hit song skelewu that shows he classy ,he’s professional, he wants the best,he has big taste ,he knows what he doings and what he wants .I see him doing different styles, very versatile, very diversify, tell me why he won’t grab those MTV awards and swept off heart of fans.Davido is practicing what I called PWMS-Professional Western Music Strategy i.e. buy songs, shoot classy videos and get good results, everybody does that around the world, that’s the professionalism, from Beyonce to Rihanna, Chris Brown to of course, the late legendary Michael Jackson. Banger Lee aka D banj aka Kinniun funfun will also spend his last to get the best producer to give him best of production and world class videos and massive promo same thing goes to the undisputed twins called “P square”.Stop doing things anyhow, stop giving us rush up jobs -production and videos, they are not helping your brand. Be more professional, be more committed, control your temper, control your ego, stop changing managements-it kills, your career, one management hasn’t finished implementing his strategy on you to excel in your career, you sacked him get another and start afresh, bro that’s career suicide! Respect your management, listen to them they are working round the clock to make you remain at nos 1,they are thinking for you to excel, stay humble, they are the drivers of your success, your success lies in the hands of thier great ideas and strategies.Stop the idea of I-can -do-it -by-myself just because you made couple of millions ,got fame and knew some OAPS and Djs, fame and fortune isn’t enough. It has killed many (artists) and will still kill more. Stop tightening hands over your career, you need to spend more on your career, if you don’t, it will die , money will stop coming in and might go broke .Incase you are wondering what this is, it’s no beef just a piece of advice material for you to get things right. Am your nos 1 fan, I respect your talent and hustle but I hate seeing my hero falling so has many other music lovers in Nigeria and beyond. I wanna see you doing music and doing it big for the next 10,20 years maybe more. Ayodele Ahmed Entertainment expert/song writer/artist manager. Luis Suarez returns home to a hero's welcome after being booted out of the World Cup

Luiz Suarez returned to his native home of Uruguay yesterday June 27th to a hero's welcome after being booted out of the World Cup and banned from all football for four- months for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini. Not only were hundreds of fans at Montevideo airport to welcome him, waving banners of support, but the president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, was also at the airport. Luis Suarez pictured above with his children, Benjamin and Defina as he greeted fans from his mother's home in Lagomar. Continue... Uruguay's president arriving the airport to receive Suarez Meanwhile, Giorgio Chiellini is not happy about FIFA's decision to ban Suarez for four months for biting him, a decision Uruguay says they will contest. On his official website, Chiellini criticized the punishment, calling it excessive. What he wrote below "Now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suárez for an incident that happened on the pitch and that's done. There only remains the anger and the disappointment about the match. My only thought is for Luis and his family, because they will face a very difficult period. I have always considered unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive. I sincerely hope that he will be allowed, at least, to stay close to his team-mates during the games because such a ban is really alienating for a player." @LastßornNews(07060428346)

Turkish newspaper Fanatik reports that Blues manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the forward, and decided to slap in the offer this week after watching him at the World Cup in Brazil. Emenike has helped the Nigeria team reach the knockout stages of the tournament, on the back of an excellent season at Fenerbahce, where he scored 12 goals and picked up nine assists. The 27-year-old only moved to Turkey last summer from Spartak Moscow in a £10million deal, but Fenerbahce are happy to make a quick profit on him.Emenike admitted recently he is desperate to move to the Premier League in the future, and a transfer could now be concluded quickly. ‘I have always dreamed of playing in England,’ he said. ‘If I get the opportunity to play in England – I wouldn’t turn it down.’ Chelsea are planning to overhaul their striker options with Diego Costa set to arrive from Atletico Madrid, while Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba could all depart.

Luis Suarez Speaks On Biting Giorgio Chiellini

Uruguay's top striker, Luis Suarez has finally spoken on his alleged biting of Giorgio Chiellini in the match between Italy and Uruguay at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Liverpool striker was caught on camera biting the Italy defender during the match the South Americans won 1-0 courtesy of a solitary goal scored by Diego Godin. While commenting on the incident in an interview conducted by local reporters after his country's win which took them through to the knockout rounds, Suares played down the latest incident as 'just something that happens on the pitch'. The player who plays in the English Premier League, and who has twice been banned for biting an opponent, said: "These situations arise on the pitch, I've collided with his shoulder. It drove me a little crazy too, but these things happen on the pitch. There's no need to make a story out of it." * Luis Suares Also, Suarez's lawyer, Alejandro Balbi, has blamed England and Italy for the hype surrounding the Uruguayan striker's latest controversy. However, Balbi has confirmed that they are working on a defence and has insisted the confrontation has been blown out of proportion as a result of the Liverpool man's history. Football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the Uruguayan forward, who could be banned for up to two year over the incident . FIFA is expected to give a verdict on the alleged Suarez biting incident on Thursday, 26 June, 2014. Meanwhile, many football fans and pundits are united in their view Suarez should receive a lengthy ban for yet another apparent biting offence. Former England defender Danny Mills has gone a step further - insisting the Uruguayan should be 'thrown in jail and locked up forever'. * Suares captured biting Chiellini He said: "It has to be the longest ban in football ever. A worldwide ban, not just an international ban,' he said. 'It is the third time it has happened and it is a clear bite this time, in a tournament of this magnitude, the most watched tournament in the world. They have got to throw him in jail and lock him up forever." @LastßornNews(07060428346)

Why We Lost Against Argentina- Keshi

Head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has revealed why they were defeated by Argentina in the final Group F game played at Porto Alegre in Brazil today, 25 June, 2014. Nigeria qualified for the Round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup despite falling to a 3-2 defeat to Argentina. Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi was at his brilliant best at the Estadio Beira-Rio on following up a stunning half-volleyed goal, which he scored in the third minute, with a superb free-kick on 45 minutes, as he tallied two goals. His efforts, though, were twice cancelled out by the equally impressive Ahmed Musa as the Eagles put in a spirited display. Musa scored the first when he picked up the ball on the left flank, and cut inside Zabaleta before expertly bending a curling effort beyond Sergio Romero who was in goal for the South Americans. * Keshi And he score the second to make it 2-2 just after resumption when he ran into a huge gap between the Argentina centre-backs and slotted past Romero, having been picked out by Emmanuel Emenike. The Nigerians eventually succumbed as Marcos Rojo's unorthodox finish five minutes after half-time ensured Argentina went through with a maximum haul of nine points. Speaking to newsmen on the defeat after the match, Keshi said: " I think the boys gave too much respect to our opponents especially in the first half." * Messi puts Argentina ahead of Nigeria When asked on the area he thinks work still need to be done before the African Champions's next match, Keshi said: " It is the same question you guys asked me every time and I keep telling you we would continue to work on every department of the team" Nigeria look likely to face France in the last 16, with Argentina on course to tackle Switzerland or Ecuador - with Group E set to be concluded later on Wednesday. * Musa curled in Nigeria's first goal Meanwhile, Bosnia-Herzegovina beat Iran 3-1 in Salvador to record their first World Cup win and deny the West Asians any chance of reaching the knockout stage. FIFA also announced Messi as the man of the match of the encounter between Nigeria and Argentina. @LastßornNews(07060428346)

Fashola: Fayose’s Victory Frightening To Democracy In Nigeria

Five days after Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Ayodele Fayose won the governorship election in Ekiti State, western Nigeria, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has described Fayose's victory as frightening to democracy in Nigeria. Fashola, who spoke with newsmen after a closed door meeting with Vice Chairmen of the 57 councils in Lagos, held at the State House, Marina, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria said the election is not foreclosed in view of the fact that people were induced with money to vote. The governor lamented that the Ekiti people voted for Fayose as a result of money, while ignoring the achievement of incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi in the state. "Even if Governor Fayemi is speaking too much English they don't understand, would they say his deputy and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly are speaking too much English too? It is a worrisome lesson to learn. However, the governor- elect still has criminal case to answer. * Lagos State Governor, Fashola "They have not told us what will happen to that case. Is that consistent with the behaviour of the people? There are issues that cropped up to ponder on and questions to ask. No incumbent governor has lost election like this in this country to my understanding. Is this the way to reward a governor that embarked on massive infrastructural development in Ekiti State," he asked. "So, the lessons that are supposedly coming out of Ekiti are frightening lessons for me. Lesson about whether the people of Ekiti are really saying that this was all about money and rice. This is because that is very easy to do. Developmental work is difficult to initiate and to execute. And developmental work that brings on change which is what every election asks for, will also from time to time occasion debates and policy thrust. And which legitimately must be criticized. "But it must be a very dangerous message to simply suggest that once you give people money, then this is the way it will happen. It is frightening for me in a democracy. But it raises the question of what we have been doing for seven years. Should we just be giving money and when people ask about security, we say that we have giving you money, go and rent your own security? * Governor-elect in Ekiti, Ayo Fayose "When people ask for healthcare, we say that you have collected money. Is that the model for development? These are lessons and I am not suggesting that we monopolise the debate about what the best policy is. But I am saying that there must be another side. There must be a debate. The debate that recognizes that development comes at a cost. And that even those that are privileged to serve, don't claim to have a monopoly of ideas," he added. It could be recalled that after the election was held on 21 June, 2014 and results announced by INEC on 22 June, 2014, governor elect, Fayose said that the reason he won the election was because of his familiarity with people living in the grassroots in Ekiti State. The former governor between 2003 to 2006 also met with Governor Fayemi in a closed door meeting where both sides were reported to have agreed to work together for the progress of the Ekiti people. @LastßornNews(07060428346)

There is also one Lukman, who we popularly call Oosa. Oyebamiji , a 40-year-old man who hails from Ibadan, Oyo State also confessed to selling human parts to many people saying: “I have been a trader at the Oja Oba Market for the past three years. It is not that I sell only human parts. However, each of the part I sold went for between N6,000 and N7,000. The supplier told me he was getting them from the cemetery. I have sold five to six pieces. I know it was wrong to do this, but I was looking for money.” For 51-year-old Opeyemi, a native doctor from Ikirun, Osun State who said he bought the human parts to cure one of his patients in the past said: “I am an Alhaji and also a star reader. I had called prayers several times at a mosque in the Ajegunle. I used the human parts only once for the treatment of one of my patients. The boy was cured and I never bought human parts from anyone again.” Meanwhile Wasiu, a 31-year-old married man with four kids native doctor from Sango Ota, Ogun State, said he bought two human skulls to prepare concoctions for women looking for children and confessed to have bought each skull for N4,000.
