President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday announced a cash gift of N5m to each member of the victorious Super Eagles and the team's three assistant coaches that clinched the gold medal in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. While the Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, was given N10m, members of the technical crew were also given N2m each. The cash gifts also came with a plot of land and national honours for each member the team. Nigeria's Super Eagles arrived back home here on Tuesday, after winning the country's first Africa Cup of Nations trophy in nearly two decades and were welcomed by adoring crowds ahead of meeting the president. Hundreds welcomed the team back at the airport in the capital of Abuja before an ceremony later in the afternoon at the National Stadium. They were also due to attend a reception on Tuesday, to be hosted by President Goodluck Jonathan. A 35-year-old paraeducator is accused of repeatedly raping a 14- year-old boy during a 10- month period who was friends with her son. Katheryn L. Carmean, 35, was arrested in Seaford, Del. on Wednesday and charged with ten counts of third-degree rape, continuous sexual abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a press release from the Delaware State Police. Delaware Online reports that Carmean was arrested at Seaford Middle School where she works as a paraeducator who assists children with disabilities. She has been suspended from her position. Carmean allegedly admitted to police that the two had sex about "40 times" from November 2011 to August 2012, according to Delaware Online. Delaware State Police learned of the allegations after the boy told a family member about the relationship and she alerted authorities. POLICE in Ondo state weekend said that the 45 year old hunter, Ojo Toki, who shot dead his wife, Adesewa, over a disagreement on his breakfast in Ibule Soro area of the state has been arrested and will soon be charged to court for murder. The suspect, who is in detention in Igbara-Oke police station is a staff of Ministry of Agriculture in Igbara-Oke. He allegedly shot his wife on the neck at close range with a dane gun. Police image-maker, Wole Ogodo, told Vanguard in Akure that the suspect had been arrested and the case transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department at the state police headquarters, Akure, for further investigation. Vanguard gathered that the suspect, who in the morning of the ill-fated day had a disagreement with his wife, angrily left for his hunting expedition only to return to vent his anger by shooting the deceased.
