Stop Stealing My Songs, Blackface Warns Artistes 29th January 2023 By Faith Ajayi Controversial singer and songwriter, Augustine Ahmedu, aka Blackface, has, over the years, accused other artistes of stealing his songs. The first and most high profile case was that between him and his former group mate and friend, Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba. He had accused 2Baba of ‘stealing’ his song, African Queen, and even though the latter reportedly gave him some financial compensation, the feud between them has lingered for many years. However, the latest artistes on Blackface’s radar include rave-of-the-moment, Asake, and pop star, Wizkid. In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he said, “The time I released the songs (that were allegedly stolen) are online. I don’t want to trend; I just want people to stop touching my music without my permission. I am begging them to stop. I cannot be competing with myself. Aisha Yesufu: There Are APC, PDP Supporters Who Prefer Obi For Presidency

Image
Aisha Yesufu: There Are APC, PDP Supporters Who Prefer Obi For Presidency With her appearances at the ObiDatti movement campaigns marked by trendy dance moves and crowd-moving eloquence, no one needs to be told that Aisha Yesufu means business in her quest for good governance. As a civil rights activist, Yesufu’s support for any government, according to her, is usually based on competence with good governance as the end result. This explains her involvement in the ObiDatti campaign train. Her choice of candidate she noted, is based on the fact that she wants someone in “office who will not allow those that will use tear gas on us when we go out to protest”. And so, for her, of all the presidential candidates contesting in this year election, “Peter Obi is the most competent of all the other ones”, she said, stressing that if Obi wasn’t, “I’ll definitely not be in his camp.” During a time out with Charles Aniagolu on Arise TV’s Prime Time show, during the week, Yesufu declared that her

Sunday Vanguard reports that over the course of the last one week, the party leadership has dissolved the entire Ekiti State Chapter executive and suspended several party loyalists in Ekiti, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi who are known acolytes of the G5. The CBN Governor said the decision to redesign the Naira was already paying off as inflation has started trending downwards and exchange rates relatively stable. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has extended the deadline for the exchange of old naira notes to new notes to February 10. The extension became imperative following the difficulty faced by Nigerians in exchanging their old notes for new notes. The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele in a statement issued on Sunday said the decision to redesign the Naira was already paying off as inflation has started trending downwards and exchange rates relatively stable. He added that the military is already making good progress in combating banditry and ransom-taking in Nigeria through this programme. Emefiele noted that available data has shown that in 2015, currency in circulation was only N1.4 trillion. But as of October 2022, currency in circulation had risen to N3.23 trillion; out of which only N500 billion was within the banking industry
